With 700 million internet users and over 300 million online shoppers, there has never been a better time to reach Chinese shoppers and businesses via online channels. Online shopping grew by 49% between 2014 and 2015 and is expected to increase by an additional 30% this year. E-Commerce now accounts for approximately 20% of all retail sales and is projected to grow to 30% by 2020. The emergence of online marketplaces, such as Tmall, Taobao, JD.com, have served to provide Chinese consumers across the country with greater convenience and diversity of choice shopping online than ever before.

Barclays and Royal Mail will host this seminar to explore opportunities selling online in China. Join this event to understand more about selling directly to Chinese consumers via Royal Mail’s TMall store, and to better understand the practical challenges of marketing to Chinese consumers. This event is particularly suited to SMEs looking to sell into China for the first time.
