Approaching New Opportunities in China: An Overview of Regulatory Developments for UK Investors & Exporters

Despite all the challenges, the Chinese economy has been growing at 6%+ per annum. Extensive growth plans are laid out for the next 10 years. Construction of infrastructure such as high speed railways and e-commerce platforms, development of high-tech R&D centres and advanced medical facilities are defining a new era of urban development.

Frank Hong, based in Beijing, is an investment and M&A Partner at the international law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP and will be visiting London in November. Frank will use his deal experiences to illustrate how UK investors and exporters can take advantage of the new opportunities in China, focusing the discussion on dealing in an increasingly sophisticated regulatory environment. Frank will specifically discuss emerging trends in China-related international transactions involving medical devices, life sciences, education and consumer goods.
