Regulatory Updates on Exporting UK Food and Drink to China

Registration is closed for this event

The second half of the year will see the implementation of some of the new regulatory requirements for imported food and drink to China outlined in the 2015 Food Safety Act. As part of the new regulatory framework Chinese authorities are placing greater responsibility on competent authorities of trading partners and foreign producers to ensure compliance of imported products.

Understanding the new regime and how it will affect current and future exporters is increasingly important as UK food and beverages are gaining in visibility and popularity with Chinese consumers. Join us to hear the latest updates on the Chinese food safety regulations and advertising laws for offline and online traded food and drink products.

DEFRA will provide updates and advice on the expected introduction of harmonised Export Heath Certificates (EHC) for all food and drink products (click here for more information).
