Roundtable Meeting with Dongguan Economy and Information Technology Bureau, (Members only), London, 11th September 2017

CBBC will host a roundtable meeting with a delegation from Dongguan Economy and Information Technology Bureau.

They are keen to meet CBBC and CBBC's member companies to understand the development of modern manufacturing industry in the UK, to learn innovative technology, automation and systematic customization of advanced manufacturing experience, to carry out economic and trade exchanges, to seek opportunities for international cooperation, and to establish international business contacts.

During this UK visiting, the delegation also will visit Robot R & D enterprise - Shadow Robot, Cambridge Science Park, BMW Mini car manufacture and attend the “Transition of British Manufacturing and Development of New Industry” seminar.

The SME China Forum 2017 - 26 September

The SME China Forum will be held at Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol on 26 September 2017. As the leading event for UK SMEs looking to expand their business in the China market, attendees will learn from experts across a range of key issues, including developing a China market entry strategy, opportunities in the Chinese consumer market and creative industries, and partnerships in innovation, technology & investment. Short-listed applicants for the competition will pitch to a panel of expert judges at the SME Forum, with competition winners getting the chance to travel to China at a later date to compete for up to USD100,000 in prize money. IPIEC is an international Innovation & Entrepreneurship competition organised by WTOIP and supported by Guangzhou regional government. The UK round of the competition is now open for applications from UK technology firms, particularly companies in the areas of healthcare, advanced manufacturing (including robotics & AI), ICT/digital, new materials, and environmental technologies.
