We are pleased to welcome Julius Court, Head of the Prosperity Fund Management Office, to discuss the Cross-government Prosperity Fund. This interactive discussion event on 10th November will help you to learn more about the potential overseas business opportunities under the Fund in ODA eligible countries and how to engage with programmes, along with its broader aims and priorities.

The £1.2bn fund promotes economic growth in developing countries. Its priorities include improving the business climate, competitiveness and operation of markets, energy and financial sector reform, and increasing the ability of governments to tackle corruption. These reforms will drive sustainable development in developing countries, and create opportunities for international business, including UK companies.

No country can reduce poverty or graduate from aid without economic growth; the Fund’s priority countries still face considerable development challenges and around 70% of the world’s poor live in them. To support economic development and reform they need access to world class expertise and investment funds.  To do this the Fund focuses on large strategic projects, on sectors of UK comparative advantage (such as finance and infrastructure) and in line with emerging UK trade priorities following Brexit and the new Industrial Strategy.

Please note: this is for CBBC members only.
