Tom Duke, IP Attaché

Tom Duke has been the UK’s intellectual property attaché to China since 2011, based in the British Embassy Beijing. IP attachés help to build relations with the governments of host countries to understand and actively engage with policy makers. 

Tom works alongside CBBC, the Department for International Trade and others to ensure that UK stakeholder IP concerns are addressed and smoothly integrated into bilateral policy discussions. Tom also meets with UK companies to support development of their IP protection and enforcement strategies. 

Tom has lived and worked in the region for over ten years and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and Korean.
