This local college was founded in April 2001. It is a state-owned full-time college, approved by Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and authorised by the State Council. In 2008, the college was listed by Education Department and Finance Department as one of 100 State Demonstrating Vocational College Project Units.

The college has more than 700 full-time and part-time teachers, among whom there are 17 professors and 169 associate professors. At present, there are more than 13,000 registered full-time students. There are a total of 8 departments including Material Engineering, Construction Engineering, Humanities Science, Information Engineering, Management Engineering, Art, Electromechanical Engineering, and Computer Science, and 3 teaching divisions in political education, continuing education and secondary school education. The percentage of graduates who earned a “double-diploma” is over 90% and the employment rate of the graduates has been over 97%.

It has signed several international cooperation agreements with universities from South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan. It sends teachers and students to those universities to study or exchange. It has signed an agreement with College of North Atlantic (CNA) from Canada on Joint Cooperation “3+0” Civil Engineering Technical Program. It has sent 250 teachers to Germany, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Taiwan for academic exchange or training since 2009.

a) Exchange visits for teachers and students
b) Continuing study and short training programmes for students
c) Teachers exchange and training
d) Joint recruitment and education of students
