Premium Briefing with Sam Hogg, Founder and Editor of Beijing to Britain

Registration is closed for this event

Sam Hogg is the Founder and Editor of Beijing to Britain, the only weekly briefing mapping and analysing UK-China relations. Its readership spans Westminster to Wenzhou: MPs and Peers, Whitehall, foreign Governments, Fleet Street and FTSE100 constituents.

Prior to launching Beijing to Britain, Mr Hogg worked in the private sector for strategic advisory firm Coulson Partners. The firm was established in 2016 by Andy Coulson, who served as David Cameron's Director of Communications, and quickly brought on Jon Steafel, who for over a decade served as Deputy Editor of the Daily Mail. The firm provided discrete advice on corporate strategy, reputation management and communications.

In early 2021, Mr Hogg began working for Conservative MP Nusrat Ghani, primarily on China policy. On their fourth week of working together, Ms Ghani was sanctioned by the People's Republic of China (PRC). During his time working for Ms Ghani, Mr Hogg helped produce the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee report on Xinjiang forced labour in UK supply chains, worked on debates that saw Parliament declare genocide in Xinjiang, and ran a succesful election to the 1922 Committee.

A year later, Beijing to Britain was formerly launched as a paid product. Readers receive four briefings a month and topical notes when critical subjects arise. Corporations also have the option of accessing the UK-China Intelligence Matrix, a constantly updated and interactive guide to British MPs with China-interests.

A light lunch will be served on arrival at 12:00pm for 12:30pm start. Finish at 13:30
