From the 16th – 20th of October the more than 2000 delegates from the Chinese Communist Party will meet in Beijing for the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. During this meeting the Congress will select the Central Committee of the Party, a group who will subsequently approve the membership of both the Chinese Politburo and Standing Committees. Collectively these represent changes to China’s most powerful decision-making bodies.

As part of this process, several important personnel changes will take place, including Li Keqiang who will step down as Premier of China.

Join CBBC policy analysts as we help members decipher what these changes might mean for the future of China’s political leadership and policy direction.
