A Guide to Applying for a UK Business Visa (Shanghai)

Registration is closed for this event

With the easing of travel restrictions, CBBC has been fielding several enquiries from our members and partners concerning general information on the UK business visa policy and process; and the possibility of supporting China business delegation visits to the UK.

Visits to the UK from China look set to take off in 2023, now that the opportunity to travel has opened up and plans for the year ahead are taking shape.

For companies, investors and government alike in China, this means more opportunities for in-person meetings and visits to one of the most dynamic and business-friendly markets in Europe.

Indeed, as a world leader in a wide range of sectors – from financial & professional services, education & training and consumer products to renewable energy, medtech and advanced engineering – and a hub of international talent and innovation, the UK has long been a key trading partner and investment destination for China.

To best support business trips to the UK over the coming year, the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), in collaboration UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) a branch of the UK Government Home Office and their delivery partner VFS Global – managers of the UK Visa Application centres across China, will be hosting in-person and online briefings in both Beijing and Shanghai covering the application for a UK business visa shortly after the Spring Festival break.

The briefings will also provide the chance to connect and catch up with others looking to visit the UK throughout 2023.
