China Retail: Mother and Baby Market Update, London, 3 October 2017

Registration is closed for this event

The opportunity for Mother and Baby brands in China has been apparent for a number of years – but no more so than now. Last year China lifted the one-child policy, enabling millions of families to have a second child for the first time in many years. In 2016 the number of new babies being born increased by more than one million year on year, to nearly 18 million. Nappies and Milk products have long driven the growth of the sector, but other product categories are now picking up increased pace as growth in spending on Mother and Baby products continues to outstrip overall consumer spending growth.

Join us to find out what is driving this growth, how to access the opportunity, and the challenges that the Chinese market presents to UK exporters.

Speakers:

  • Alex Dickson-Leach, Managing Director and Founder, Bloom and Grow
  • Jack Porteous, Assistant Director of Retail, CBBC
