Beijing-based company wants to introduce popular stage performances from the UK to major cities across China
A Chinese government supported culture promotion fund would like to bring popular stage performances from the UK to be shown in China. The fund focuses on cultural activities and exchanges between China and the rest of the world.
The performances could be in any of the following formats:
• musical comedy
• song and dance drama
• vocal concert
• musical concert
• dance
• ballet
• stage drama
Ideally, the performances should involve only a small amount of dialogue or none at all. Chinese audiences would not necessarily understand the English language. Only popular performances from the UK will be chosen.
By working with a well-known UK theatre, the Chinese group can arrange the chosen performances to be put on stage in many big cities across China.
The nature of this project is commercial cooperation and the division of income from the performances will be agreed through a formal contract arrangement.
